Yokohama, Japan’s second-largest city and a major port, will see the addition of a new luxury hotel, Conrad Yokohama, in 2027. The project, part of Hilton’s expansion in Japan, will be located in a 40-story high-rise and occupy 16 levels. With 272 rooms, the hotel aims to cater to both business and leisure travelers, complementing Yokohama’s vibrant mix of modern urban life and rich history.
The hotel’s location in the Minato Mirai district places it within walking distance of Bashamichi and Sakuragi-cho stations on the Minatomirai Line, key stops on Yokohama’s efficient rail network. This connectivity, combined with the city’s extensive road systems and proximity to Haneda Airport, makes the location easily accessible for domestic and international travelers.
Conrad Yokohama will include an executive lounge, multiple dining venues, event spaces, a wedding chapel, a fitness center, a spa, and an indoor pool. The design will reflect Yokohama’s transformation from a historic trading port to a global urban center, offering a sophisticated experience for visitors.
The hotel’s surroundings offer a blend of cultural and recreational attractions. Nearby landmarks include the Pacifico Yokohama convention center, the iconic Landmark Tower, the Red Brick Warehouse, and the bustling Chinatown. Shopping, dining, and entertainment options in the Minato Mirai area further enhance the appeal of this location for visitors.
Yokohama’s transportation infrastructure, including well-integrated rail and road systems, positions the city as a convenient destination for events and tourism. The addition of Conrad Yokohama will build on this reputation, joining Hilton’s existing property in the area, Hilton Yokohama, which opened in 2023. The two properties will provide diverse accommodation options, strengthening the city’s standing as a hub for international conferences and luxury travel.
