The long-haul business carrier Eos Airlines has opened a new departure lounge at London’s Stanstead Airport. The new lounge, called Club 48, is located gate-side. In addition to a guest services counter and circulating attendants, Club 48 offers two 50-inch wide screen televisions, WiFi access, and computer workstations along with bar and food services. The club’s seating area features translucent dividers for additional privacy.
Eos flies Boeing 757s configured with 48 flat bed seats, each 6 ft. 6in. (2 meter) long. All seats have aisle access and provide 21 square feet of private space for each passenger. Service to New York’s JFK Airport will be expanded from 32 to 40 flights per week in September of this year.
“Traditionally, airlines have lounges; Eos has a club, an environment that celebrates and embraces our guests,” said Adam Komack, senior vice president of marketing at Eos. “Club 48 is an extension of the Eos Class experience, another place where we treat our guests with genuine care instead of simply serving them well.”
