Frontier became the first and only budget airline to fly into Baton Rouge, Louisiana when it launched a twice-daily non-stop service from its Denver hub August 15th. The new route provides low-fare flights and connections to other cities served by Frontier, such as Las Vegas, Phoenix and Calgary.
Anthony J. Marino, Director of Aviation, Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport said, “The maiden voyage from Baton Rouge to Denver and vice versa will ensure the residents of Baton Rouge and the surrounding area more options, lower fares, and superior service.”
“We are proud to be the first new airline to start service to Baton Rouge in more than 20 years,” said John Happ, senior vice president of marketing and planning for Frontier. He added, “As the only low-cost carrier serving Baton Rouge, we are excited to make travel to Denver and the Rocky Mountain West affordable for passengers from Baton Rouge.”
Baton Rouge, in southeastern Louisiana‘s Cajun country, offers visitors such Cajun treats as crawfish, jambalaya, and gumbo, Zydeco music, and southern plantations stretched out along River Road. The city has more than 600,000 residents.
