Thai AirAsia X is set to relocate all operations from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to Don Mueang Airport (DMK) beginning on October 1, 2024. Thai AirAsiaX to start flights between Bangkok and Sapporo
Thai AirAsiaX will start daily direct flights between Bangkok Don Muang and Sapporo New Chitose Airport on May 1st 2015.
Starting from March 26, the airline also will increase the frequency of its Bangkok-Tokyo route to two flights per day. And its flights to Osaka will become daily, up from five times a week. As the result, Thai AirAsiaX will have four daily flights to Japan. [Read more…]

Singapore Airlines losing, AirAsia gaining
Singapore Airlines (SIA) – arguably among the world’s best-run, most profitable major airlines in the past – has announced a whopping loss for the April-June quarter of this year, blaming the world economic crisis, the H1N1 pandemic and losses on fuel hedging.
Not mentioned by the airline, but possibly another factor, is an ongoing boycott by Indian travel agents furious at having had their 5% commission on ticket sales cancelled. The boycott has been going on since the end of last year, and means that anyone in India wishing to travel by SIA can now book only at the SIA offices there, or online. AirAsia Drops Admin Fees to Stimulate Travel
With the aim of further stimulating travel and tourism in Malaysia and the region, AirAsia is abolishing the administration fee from its fare structure. This presents further real savings to AirAsia guests as they now only have to fork out the seat fare and airport tax.
‘No Admin Fee’ as it is aptly called, will come into effect for bookings made for all AirAsia and AirAsia X flights from 24th June 2009. AirAsia Adds Flights to Shenzhen from Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu
AirAsia is expanding its service to Shenzhen, China with the addition of two flights from Malaysia on October 2nd. The low-cost carrier will add a second flight from Kuala Lumpur and start a direct flight from Kota Kinabalu in East Malaysia.
