Thai AirAsia X is set to relocate all operations from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to Don Mueang Airport (DMK) beginning on October 1, 2024. The airline is celebrating this move with a special “Hello Don Mueang” promotion, offering one-way fares starting from 3,490 THB to popular international destinations such as Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Sydney, and more. This shift aims to improve customer convenience, providing easier access to AirAsia’s vast domestic and international network. Additionally, AirAsia X plans fleet expansion to support future growth and passenger demand.
Passengers with pre-booked flights will have their bookings automatically transferred to Don Mueang for flights departing after the relocation date. This transition also enables more seamless connectivity within Bangkok, as Don Mueang Airport is considered more accessible to the city center compared to Suvarnabhumi. Thai AirAsia X aims to enhance overall customer experience with this strategic relocation, catering to increasing travel demand and expanding route offerings to international travelers.
